IFS Working Group
Invitation for interest in Fintech and Payments Working Group
In early 2015, Minister of State for International Financial Services, Simon Harris TD led with the development and
launch of the International Financial Services (IFS2020) Strategy. The implementation of the strategy is underway
and an Industry Advisory Group (IAG) has been established and meets with the High Level Implementation
Committee (Public Sector Departments and Functions) on a regular basis. The Strategy is available here -
IFS 2020
Alongside the IAG there are several working groups established or in the process of being established. These are
typically industry led groups that meet to discuss issues and identify action plans that can then be submitted via the
IAG to the joint meetings that take place.
The FPAI is now taking the lead with Enterprise Ireland and the IDA to set
up and create a "Fintech and Payments Working Group". Accordingly we are seeking expressions of interest for
participation in this Working Group. In the Strategy paper there are several references to “Fintech” and “Payments”.
The Working Group will play a key role in determining the focus and approach for these actions.
Colm Lyon, who is Chairman of the FPAI, sits on the IAG and therefore participates in the joint meetings.
If you are interested in joining this working group then please email [email protected] by Friday 16th October 2015.
Expressions of interest should be accompanied by background information for the individual and an indication of
areas of expertise and interest.
We would appreciate your support for this call by forwarding this message to any parties that may be interested. We
will also be promoting the call via social media.
